The Artists

The starting point for this collection is to create artistic 'reasons to love the Earth'. This resulted in 1001 very artistic statements of 1001 professional artists from 90 countries. The book inspires people all over the world to respect the environment and regard the planet as an organic entity, the provider of life. People tend to care for someone or something they love. Since human beings seem to take the Earth for granted, they need an eye opener to make them aware. 1001 reasons from an artistic point of view, should encourage this love for our planet. The 2000 Foundation co-operates with numerous artist organizations all over the world with the assistance and advice of national artists-organizations, galleries and cultural associations.
